During renovations of the James A. Rhodes Arena Athletic Training facility in 2015, the University of Akron chose Grimm tubs to furnish the hydrotherapy space. “The freestanding tubs required only minor site preparation, and the tubs were customized to our space to maximize what we could get in there’” says Bill Droddy, Director of Sports Medicine.
Bill cites easy maintenance/upkeep and great customer service as additional reasons he decided to go with Grimm. Three years later, when the time came to upgrade the hydrotherapy space in the football facility, the decision was easy. Grimm designed a new model to fit the dimensions of the room and meet the demand of the players who desired recovery hydrotherapy.
Head Football Athletic Trainer Mark Leffler states, “our athletes have utilized our hydrotherapy exponentially more since our upgrade.”
